Chocolate Orange Cake – Honey Chocolate Fudge Cake Recipe

Chocolate orange cake recipe ingredients:

  • 100 grams unsalted butter
  • 150 grams honey
  • 1 pinch clove powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 20 grams vanilla sugar
  • shredded orange peel
  • 2 eggs
  • 60 grams dark chocolate, melted
  • 60 grams coconut
  • 200 grams flour
  • 10 grams baking powder
  • 30 ml orange juice

Dark chocolate frosting recipe ingredients:

  • 100 grams dark chocolate
  • 10 grams vanilla sugar
  • 70 grams honey
  • 50 grams unsalted butter

Honey chocolate fudge cake recipe instruction:

  1. Mix butter and honey first and add clove, cinnamon, vanilla sugar and orange peel in it.
  2. Beat egg yolks, mix melted chocolate and coconut in it, and pour that in honey mixture.
  3. Mix flour, baking powder and orange juice in honey chocolate mixture
  4. Beat egg whites to be firm and stir it in honey chocolate mixture
  5. Pour chocolate orange cake in the cake pan and bake it in preheated oven to 175°C for about 40 minutes.

Dark chocolate frosting recipe instruction:

Melt chocolate on the steam and mix vanilla sugar, honey and butter in it. When you get smooth chocolate frosting, remove it from steam.

Pour frosting all over chocolate orange cake. Cool it for few hours.

  • 50 grams almonds, grind
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa

  • 75 grams honey

  • 75 ml Bailey’s (or milk)
  • 50 ml milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 250 ml whipped cream

  1. Mix all fudge cake ingredients together and leave dough in the fridge for 1 hour.
  2. Roll the cake dough to fit in the cake pan and leave 3 centimeters more from sides to coat the cake pan.
  3. To make filling, melt honey and butter on the heat and add chocolate chips in it.
  4. When chocolate melts as well, remove it from heat and mix cocoa, almonds and milk in it.
  5. Beat eggs separately and mix them in the chocolate filling.
  6. Pour the filling in the cake pan over the cake dough.
  7. Bake it in preheated oven to 180°C for 30 – 35 minutes.
  8. Cool the cake and spread whipped cream all over the cake.
