Sacher Torte Recipe with Menthol Liqueur – Easy Rich Chocolate Cake Recipe

Sacher torte recipe with menthol liqueur ingredients:

  • 8 eggs
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla sugar
  • 150 grams butter
  • 200 grams cooking chocolate, melted
  • 120 grams flour

Cake filling ingredients:

  • 300 grams blueberry jam

Chocolate menthol frosting ingredients:

  • 200 grams cooking chocolate
  • 40 grams butter
  • 2 tablespoon menthol liqueur

Easy rich chocolate cake recipe instruction:

Beat egg whites with sugar and vanilla to become firm.

Separately beat egg yolks with butter and melted chocolate, mix flour in it and, in the end, whisk beaten egg whites in the chocolate mix.

Pour cake mixture in greased round shape cake pan (26 centimeter in diameter) and bake it in preheated oven to 180°C for about 1 hour.

Cut the cake in half horizontally, spread the blueberry jam over the bottom half, cover it with the top half of the chocolate cake and spread the remaining jam all over the cake.

Chocolate menthol frosting instruction:

Melt the 40 grams of butter in saucepan (in low heat), add chopped chocolate and menthol liqueur in it. Stir the menthol chocolate frosting till you get smooth compact icing and then remove it from the heat.

Ice a chocolate cake with chocolate icing and cool it in refrigerator for at least 3 hours before you serve it.
